In order to assure the quality in fresh concrete, it is decisive to comply with a certain predefined ratio of sand, cement, additives, and water. This mixing ratio is the decisive factor in regard to quality within the building industry. The high mineral content, at the measurement of the moisture content in fresh concrete, represents a great challenge. Conventional electronic moisture probes here, at the measurement of the moisture, dependant of the concrete content, display considerable deviations. Often, the measuring is restricted to the measurement of the moisture in the dry mixture or even only in the sand which is not conductive. If one is able, using an electronic sensor, to precisely determine both the conductivity as well as the moisture content of fresh concrete, this consequently opens the option to establish additional quality evaluations of the fresh concrete.
